2002 Conference

PULLING IT ALL TOGETHER – FOSTERING RESEARCH LINKAGES

The OHTN's 5th annual Research Day was held at the Delta Chelsea Hotel in Toronto on November 28-29, 2002. Conference highlights included keynote addresses from Mark Wainberg, PhD, McGill AIDS Centre, John Lavis, MD, PhD, Canada Research Chair in Knowledge Transfer and Uptake, McMaster University and Andrew Pringle, President of Canadian Foundation for AIDS Research.

Both attendee and abstract numbers were more than double those of previous years and a total of 300+ attendees and 150 abstracts afforded a stimulating mix of academic and community representation.

Attendees and presenters embodied the conference's theme: Pulling it All Together – Fostering Research Linkages across and among the four research streams (clinical, epidemiology, socio-behavioural, and basic).
